【探究イベント】設計図を見ながら本格建築模型を作ろう（建築士編）

GWのイベント第一段として、探究イベントを実施しました。

本日は、毎週実施している算数探究プログラムの一つ「建築士編」を実施しました。

実際の建築で使われる設計図の見方を学びながら、建築模型づくりに挑戦していきます。

はじめは建築に関する知識をつけるために「建築クイズ」に挑戦！

建築に関する興味を広げるクイズから、建築の専門知識に関するクイズまで、クイズを通して様々な知識を身に着けていきました。

その後は、設計図の見方を学ぶため、「積み木建築」に挑戦です。

様々な視点から描かれた設計図をもとに、実際の積み木として建築をしていきます。

平面図を立体に変換する力が必要になってくるわけですね！

こちらは、子どもたち大苦戦。

それでも根気よく挑戦する中で

「あ、そういうことか！」

「なるほど円柱は、横から見たら四角になるのか！」

と実践を通した生きた学びがたくさん生まれていきました。

最初は個人個人で挑戦していた積み木建築も

いつの間にか、自然と全員で協力していく流れに！？

初めて出会ったのにも関わらず、考える楽しさを共有できたからこそ、一緒に挑戦しようとなっていったんですね✨

そして、いよいよ本題です。

建築模型を作ろう！

平面図、立面図が書かれた本格的な建築設計図を見ながら、建築模型を作成していきます。

電卓を使い、長さの計算をしながら、設計図のパーツを切り出していきます。

かなり難しい作業にも関わらず、子どもたちの目は生き生きと輝いていました。

まさに真剣そのもの！

とオリジナルの工夫も自然と生まれていきましたね。

時間ぎりぎりまで取り組んだ子どもたち。
