こんにちは！アーサーです！
ペンギンクラスも2学期の活動がスタートしました！🐧
シロクマに引き続き、9月の活動は「オリジナル筏作り」でした。
今回から新グループとなり、朝の集合時から
「どの色のグループになるかな？」
「どんな人たちがいるかな？」
と、ワクワクとドキドキの気持ちが子どもたちの中にありました。
さて、新学期最初の活動は「筏作り」です！⛵️
発泡スチロール素材のものを使い、グループごとに一隻の筏を作ります。
使う素材や大きさ、形をグループで話し合いながら形にしていきます。
新学期最初ということもあり、グループでの時間やグループで話す機会などを増やしました。
筏作りは、各グループごとに作成。話し合いから作成、仕上げまでの時間は自分たちで進めていきます。
進め方や話し合いの様子は、各グループでいろんなカラーが出ていました。（笑）
どんな筏を作りたいか話し合いを通じてイメージを膨らませているグループ。
とりあえず使える素材を集めて触りながら考えていこう！というグループ。
今日、やることなどを整理して、役割などを決めてからスタートしているグループ。
いろんなやり方で筏作りを進めていきました。
「えっ、それ面白そうだね！」
「他のグループに聞かれちゃう！小さい声で喋ろ！（笑）」
と、楽しそうに話しながら作っている声も聞こえてきました。
と他のグループの良いところを見に行っているグループも。
いろんなグループの様子を回りながら見ていました。
すると、あるグループから、
「みんなが納得したものを作りたい。」という声が聞こえてきました。
グループの中で、率先して筏作りをやっている子がいたのですが、「こうした方が良いよ！」と1人で決めて進めていたみたいです。
その時に、グループの子が、「みんなで納得したものを作りたい。」とその子に向かって言っていました。
率先して筏作りをしている子も「良いものを作りたい！」「こう作った方が沈まなくて良いんじゃないか」とチームのためにと思い、やっていました。
しかし、グループの他の子の気持ちとしては、「僕たちの意見も聞いて欲しいな。」「みんなで作っていきたいな」という気持ちがあったようです。
その後、グループで話し合い、みんなの意見を聞き合いながら作っていくように変わっていきました。
僕は、あの時間やあの言葉は、グループにとって良い物だったと思います。
あの時間は、グループ内でいろんな葛藤があったと思います。
我々が、グループ活動に重きを置いているのもそこにあります。
楽しい！で終わるだけでなく、
グループ活動を通して人との関わりを学んだり、自分のできることを増やしたりすることを目的としています。
そのために、筏作りや月ごとの活動をデザインしています。
自分の気持ちを伝える。相手の気持ちを受け入れる。
その経験が、少しずつステップアップに繋がるのではないかと思っています。
話が長くなりましたが、筏作りは無事に、全グループが完成。
みんなで、筏チャレンジに挑戦しました！
沈まずに、50メートル先のゴールまで辿り着けるか。
沈まない工夫として、紐で引っ張ったり、オールを作って漕いだりといろんなアイデアが出ていて面白かったです！
ゴールまで辿り着く前に壊れてしまった筏もありましたが、満足そうな表情でした！
最後には、みんなで川遊びをして終了。
片付けを済ませ、みんなで帰りました。
今月から新しいグループでしたが、2学期も面白い活動になりそうな予感がしております。
来月は、日間賀島で謎解きに挑戦します！
