シロクマクラス11月活動「シロクマチャンバラ合戦」を実施しました。

ステップクラスの恒例活動となっている「チャンバラ合戦」。今年のチャンバラも白熱した戦いとなりました！

スポンジ製のチャンバラ棒を手に持ち、「命」と呼ばれる紙風船を1人1個着けて戦います。ルールは至ってシンプル。

命を落としたり、棒で破られたりするとアウト！

コート内をうまく使いながら相手チームの「命」を落とすこと！グループの仲間と助け合いながら勝利を目指します。

グループで勝利をするためにはどうしたら良いのか？

自分にできることはなんだろう？

をグループで話し合いながらチャンバラ合戦に挑戦です！

午前は、チャンバラ棒の使い方などをレクチャーし、個人戦や子ども対リーダー。などの練習から始めていきました。

「かかってこい〜！」

「勝負だ〜」

威勢の良い掛け声が聞こえてきます。

「よっしゃ！勝った！」

チャンバラ棒を嬉しそうに振っている子どもたち。

少しずつチャンバラへの気持ちが高まっている様子でした。

今回のチャンバラ合戦本番は、

  • チーム戦
  • 少人数戦
  • 子ども代表戦
  • リーダー代表戦
  • 大将戦

を実施。

自分たちと相手チームとの差を理解し、話し合うきっかけとして得点板も用意し、各チームの現状が見えるように。

「今、黄色チームが1位だね」

「黄色から狙う？？」

「いや〜黄色は強いからな〜」

など、得点板を見ながら話し合いが進められていました(笑)

試合を重ねていくごとに、差が少しずつ出始め、順調に得点を獲得しているグループもあれば、なかなかポイントを稼げていないグループも。

なかなか勝てないグループの子の気持ちが少しずつ下がってきていました。

「なんで勝てないんだろう？」とグループのメンバーで考えていました。

「チームみんな離れすぎなんじゃない？」

「あっちのチームみたいに一緒に移動してみる？」

そんなアイデアを思いつきすぐ実践。

作戦が実り、相手グループの風船をたくさん落とすことに成功！

ナイスな話し合いになっていました。

どのグループも最後まで諦めずに勝利に向け、取り組んでいました。時には、悔しくて泣いている子もいましたが、最後には楽しく笑顔になっていました！

このチャンバラを通して、人との関わりや自分にできることを考え行動することが生まれてくるよう活動を作りました。

チャンバラ合戦は、戦いになるので勝敗がつきます。時には調子良く連勝したりする時もあれば、うまくいかず連敗してしまったりすることも。

「やった！勝てた！」や「また負けちゃったよ」などこのチャンバラでは気持ちの上がり下がりが激しいところも醍醐味の１つです。

うまくいかない時にグループとしてどうしていくのか。をしっかり話し合う。

じゃあ、勝つためには何が必要なのか。を考える。

今回はチャンバラという一見単に遊んでいるようにも見える活動ですが、”本気の遊びが子どもたちを成長させるきっかけとなる“と本当に思っています。

あるお母さんがお迎えの際にこんなことを仰っていました。

「小学校とかでも”本気で話し合う機会“ってなかなか無いので、とっても貴重な体験だと感じています」と。

本当は意見があるけれど、否定されるのが怖い、自分の意見は通らないから言わない、など集団生活の中で無難に生きる力ばかりが培われているように感じます。

集団の中で意見を出す勇気を培っていくことに価値があるのだと気づかされた瞬間でした。

とはいえ初めて会った瞬間に意見は出せないですよね。

だからこそグループ活動を大切にしています。

同じメンバー、同じグループリーダーで活動し、より価値のある時間となるようにデザインしています。

来月もグループ活動が肝となる秘密基地作りに挑戦です！

子どもたちの自由な発想や面白いアイデアで森を自分たちの遊び場へと変えていく。
