こんにちは！アーサーです！
ステップ（ペンギン）クラスの6月活動を実施しました！
今回の活動は、「創作」をテーマに【丼もの料理】に挑戦です！
野外炊事の醍醐味は様々なプロセスがあること。料理を完成するまでに、「火起こし」、「ご飯炊き」、「食材を切ったり、焼いたり」などやることが盛りだくさん。料理のうまい下手などは関係なく、料理を作る上で役割分担するための声かけをしてみたり、仲間のために動いてみたり、やったことないことに挑戦してみたりと様々なステップが隠れています。
その子にあったチャレンジができるところも炊事の良いところかなと思います。
4月に火起こしマスターの活動を実施していたこともあり、火起こしやる気満々の子どもたち。
メタルマッチを使って、苦戦しながらも火起こしに挑戦しているグループもいました！
続いて、成功した「火起こし」を利用しての「ご飯炊き」です。
「水の量はどうしたらいいのかな？」、
「火の強さはどう調節するのかな？」という問い出しながらご飯を炊く方法を考えていました。
そしてメインの活動、「豚丼作り」へ！
食材選びから味付けまで、全てをグループで話し合いながら行いました。「何をトッピングしようか？」、「どんな味付けが良いかな？」など、各グループが自由に考え、それぞれの豚丼が出来上がりました。
「うまい！」「すごい！自分たちで作ったご飯がこんなに美味しいなんて！」と、子どもたちは自分たちで作った豚丼に大満足の様子でした。
中には、「ご飯かたい！」や「にんじんかたかった！」などを笑いながら振り返り話しているグループもいました。
午後は、「グループ凧作り」に挑戦！グループで話し合いながら、凧の帆の材料、大きさ、形などを決定。それぞれの意見を尊重しながら、凧を作っていきました。
「大きな凧にしよう！」、「形はこっちがいいんじゃない？」
など、グループごとに様々な意見が飛び交っていました。
そして、凧作りの過程で、「自分の意見をしっかりと伝えること」
「他の人の意見を尊重すること」の大切さを感じてもらえたらなと思います。
良いものを作ることがゴールではなく、 作り上げていく過程での人との関わりや自分の気持ちなどをどう表現していくかというところが大事かなと思います。
最終的には、それぞれが作ったオリジナル凧を完成させ、飛ばすように何度も走って走って頑張っていました。
野外での活動を通じて、自分たちのアイディアを形にする楽しさや、他の人の意見を尊重する重要性を感じてもらえたなら、これ以上ない喜びです。
これからも、子どもたちが自身の経験を通じて多くを学び、自分自身の成長につながるような活動を提供していきます。次回の活動もよろしくお願いします！
