クローバークラス7月活動は、
天白川で「川遊びと生き物探し」を実施しました。
天気は、晴れ。最高の活動日和でした。
朝から、エネルギーいっぱいの子どもたち。タモや飼育ケースを持参し、早く川で遊びたい様子(笑)
川遊びをたのしみにしている子。少し緊張気味の子。先月のザリガニ釣りのリベンジに燃えている子。など、活動への気持ちは様々でした。
早速,川へ移動。
みんなで歩いて川へ向かいました。少しずつ川が近くなっていくにつれて、
「川が見えた！」「早く遊びたい！」
と、子どもたちのワクワクが大きくなっていきました。
川へついたら、荷物を置いて川遊びの準備！
準備体操をして、ライフジャケットの着方や使い方などをみんなで確認しました。
まずは、ライフジャケットを着てプカプカ浮かんでみよう！
ということでお空を向いてプカプカ浮く練習。
最初は不安そうだった子も、やるたびに安心感が増し、川になれていきました。
準備ができたら、川遊びと生き物探しスタート！
「お魚どこだー！」
「ザリガニさーん！」
と呼びながらじゃぶじゃぶ歩いて探索。
「大きい声出すと逃げちゃうよー！」と声をかけると、少しだけ静かになって探していました。
生き物探しをしながらみんなで水をかけ合ったりしました。
すると子どもたちは川遊びにどハマり！
生き物探しはわずか30分。(笑)
そこからは、川の流れに乗ってプカプカ浮かんだり、川の中に顔をつけて泳いでみたりと川の遊びを思いっきり楽しみました。
川にも慣れて少しずつ「やってみたい！」ということが増えていきました。
「ちょっと深いとこに行ってみたい！いい？」
「よし、行ってみるか！」
そんな会話をして、少し深めのポイントへ。
「面白い！」「楽しい！」と何回も泳ぎにいきました。
川遊び中の子どもたちの気持ちよさそうな笑顔から「楽しい！もっとやってみたい！」という前向きな気持ちが伝わってきました。
川遊びで見られた「やってみよう！」という気持ちから生まれた「楽しい！」は、これからの人生の中でとても大事なことだなと感じています。
不安なこと。苦手なこと。やったことないこと。などは、「やってみよう！」と一歩を踏み出すのは勇気がいりますよね。
そこを、「よし！やってみよう！」と踏み出すことができればまた新たな発見へとつながると思います。
野外活動1回の活動で、大きく変化とは難しいかもしれませんが、そういう小さな積み重ねの連続が今後の人生に良い影響となっていくと信じて活動を作っています。
これからも「やってみよう！」という気持ちを作れるような活動をしていきたいと思います。
